We exist to connect and support creative workers within the Dandenong and Yarra Ranges to build capacity, connections and capability.
Organisation’s Purpose:
To connect and support creative workers within and around the Dandenong and Yarra Ranges to build their collective capacity.
Supported by seed funding from Cardinia Shire Council, with aims to:
• Connect and network to build skills and capability of individuals and organisations with an interest or practice in the arts
• Provide an auspice for grants and support grant writing
• Provide insurance and collegial support for artists and events and share resources
• Embrace all arts disciplines
• Encourage and engage all demographics; age, gender and sexual diversity, racial, cultural and religious diversity, all abilities.
Hills Arts Alliance is a small organisation with big plans. We want to connect artists and arts organisations across the region because there is strength in connection and we are better together.
We are seeking interested people who are working, volunteering or practising in the arts across the Dandenong and Yarra Ranges area, to get involved and nominate to join the committee of management and contribute to the group's development. Alternatively, become a member and support the group to grow.
Some of the current activities being auspiced by Hills Arts Alliance include individual artist projects, the Ignite Youth Festival, The Woorilla International Poetry Prize, the Performing And Visual arts in Emerald and Districts (PAVEd) Festival.
