Fernlea Community Care is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation dedicated to supporting people in the community, people with age care funding and their carers, to remain connected, independent and engaged in their community.
We provide compassionate and person-centred services including day respite, in-home care, social support and community activities. Our Day Respite programs provide a welcoming, home-like environment where clients can enjoy meaningful activities, social connection, outings, nutritious meals and companionship while providing carers with valuable day respite.
Our in-home care services are tailored to individual needs and support people to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible. We focus on building positive relationships, promoting independence and respecting each person’s choices, preferences and dignity.
Fernlea also provides opportunities for social connection through community programs, activities, groups and events designed to reduce isolation and encourage participation.
As a local community organisation, we pride ourselves on knowing our clients and families personally and creating a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. Our dedicated team works alongside clients, carers, families and other service providers to deliver flexible, respectful and reliable support.
Fernlea Community House, located in the heart of Emerald Village, provides a welcoming space for the wider community. We offer group classes, workshops, social activities and opportunities for people to connect, learn and participate. We also provide access to a Foodbank for individuals and families experiencing financial difficulty or needing a little extra support.
